My client is an EU leader in the supply of Health Care Products with manufacturing locations in Europe and a brand that is sold in 80 countries across the world. They have a strong reputation for supplying superior quality products to the private and NHS healthcare sectors.

They are currently seeking a Product Manager/Product Analyst to join their expanding, friendly and dynamic marketing team. You will be 1 of 3 Product Managers who will work together to increase the brands market share.

This role focusses on the analytical side of Product Management and will require a candidate who enjoys working with statistics, marketing analysis and spreadsheet reporting.

The Role

• Local product expert and main point of contact for product related queries for the UK team.

• Strong communication skills and time management skills are essential to ensure a smooth flow of product information between the internal departments, Customers and HQ.

• Identify industry trends and data to enhance and maintain competitor and market analysis, identifying the competitive position in each product segments.

• Commercial awareness is required for the definition of product and concept strategy in the UK market; providing competitor positioning charts, gap analysis and pricing analysis.

• Assisting with product matching and positioning for tender applications.

• Liaising directly with the Global Category Manager (GCM) based in Denmark on all new product development and product launches via monthly Video Conference.

• Product expert for the UK market providing the GCM with relevant feedback on market data, product requirements and business case support.

• Work in collaboration with the UK Sales team to drive sales and support them and their customers, including pricing analysis, customer gap analysis reviews, rebates and product training. It may also be necessary to provide external training sessions to key customers and support during meetings/customer visits.

• Responsible for the specifications of locally sourced products, ensuring that they are 100% correct and suitable for market needs and customer desires.

• Make recommendations to the Marketing Manager in relation to supporting product ranges for relevant marketing activities, including but not limited to: launch plans, campaigns, advertisements, promotions and exhibitions.

• Ensuring all content on marketing materials are accurate and used in the correct way in order to effectively reach the required target audience.

• Attention to detail is key for this role.

• Ability to work independently and timely on product pricing and data analysis to establish price points and positioning within the multiple sales channels.

Experience & Background

• Educated to degree level, minimum.

• At least 2 years' experience working in a similar role.

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels within the organisation.

• Excellent Time Management and Organisational skills

• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

• Self-motivation, ability to make strategic business decisions

• Strong IT Skills including Microsoft Excel

• Ability to work to deadlines & Targets in fast paced environment

• Additional skills or knowledge relating to the relevant industry would be advantageous.
