Job Title: Assistant Event Cleaning Services Manager

Status: Permanent - 40 hours / week.

Salary: Circa GBP20,000 pa

Primary Purpose of Job

To assist the Event Cleaning Services Manager in the running of the department according to budgets, business levels and departmental and company standards, whilst working with the team in ensuring all areas of the building, grounds and car parks are serviced and maintained to the highest standard.


- Assisting with the recruitment and management of the team

- Supervising the general cleaning of the building and grounds

- Financials (costings & analysis)

- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed throughout the site

- Taking full responsibility of the department in the absence of management

Person specification:

- Previous experience within a similar industry and / or role at supervisor or Assistant Manager Level within an industrial cleaning environment

- Understanding of H&S and COSHH

- Understanding of Green credentials advantageous

- High levels of customer service experience with the ability to communicate with people at all levels courteously

- Experience of managing and motivating teams of people in a customer service environment.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure reacting quickly and professionally

- Basic IT skills with the ability to use email and Microsoft office programs i.e. word and basic excel

- Flexibility in working hours is essential as occasional weekends & evening's shifts would be needed
