Its UK-made oil mist filters are trusted by world leading manufacturers in more than 60 countries and supply industries ranging from aerospace and automotive, to food processing and medical device manufacture.

The company is also responsible for selling the Swedish Absolent AB range of oil mist and dust extraction systems.

About the role

The recent growth and acquisitions of Filtermist International have taken the company's sales approach and profile in the UK industrial sector to the next level. Today the Filtermist Sales teams can offer customers the broadest and most highly respected range of clean air products, services and solutions in the market; from single product sales, to equipment upgrades & modifications, to major capex projects and full turnkey solutions. As a result, the Sales function is continuously evolving and embracing the opportunities provided by the extension to its portfolio.

As an integral part of the Sales team, the Proposals Engineers play a critical role. They are pivotal in providing tailored proposals and quotations for clients which can range from basic catalogue sales to large, complex and bespoke, turn-key solutions. We are looking for new talent to join this customer-facing and commercially-focused team, and work across the extensive offerings of all Filtermist Group companies.

Key targets for the role are:

* Preparation of proposals / quotations ensuring accurate pricing and margin maximisation

* Provision of expert knowledge and design support to ensure successful proposals are shaped and delivered in a timely manner

* Communication with new and existing clients to design, cost and develop effective solutions

Reporting to the Proposals Manager the Proposal Engineers are responsible for delivering client solutions.

About you

As Filtermist continues to experience a fast pace of change, the business is looking for Sales Engineers / Technical Sales professionals who can embrace that change and operate in a dynamic environment delivering accurate proposals.

You will need to demonstrate a strong pride and passion for your work to deliver excellence for customers, ensuring accurate and correct information is provided on a routine basis.

In particular, you will have:

* Experience in an Engineering / Technical / Sales role gained in a synergistic environment such as clean air solutions, air movement, heating & ventilation or similar engineering sector

* Manufacturing Engineering experience including producing 2D drawings in AutoCAD

* Strong IT skills and expert in MS Office

* A technical mind-set and understanding of the engineering / manufacturing sector

* Outstanding customer-relationship and communication skills; face to face, phone and email

* Highly analytical skill set, with strong project management and the ability to juggle multiple projects and differing customer needs

* Results orientation and a commercial mind-set

* A passion for health, safety and the environment

* Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous personal learning & development
