Senior Social Worker
TACT are seeking a full time Senior Supervising Social Worker to cover responsibilities in the Mid to North Wales area of the TACT Cymru team's region. The role involves managing complex caseloads, assessing, training and supporting a diverse range of foster carers, children and young people.

The Senior Supervising Social Worker will be covering our Mid and North Wales area, which extends from Aberystwyth in the mid West across to Builth Wells and across the North Wales counties. We recognise this is an extensive area and so would welcome applicants interested in job sharing. The overall purpose of the Senior Supervising Social Worker role is to recruit, assess, train and support a diverse range of foster carers and placements.
The Senior Supervising Social Worker role will initially have responsibility for a small caseload while working locally to increase our carer base over the coming months. The role will also involve developing our relationships with partner agencies in the area including with a residential provider based in North Wales.
The successful Senior Supervising Social Worker will have:
- Recent experience in child placement work or post qualifying experience in other child care settings.
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation.
- DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualification.
- Current registration with the HCPC.
- Fluency in Welsh is desireable.
You will be required to be on an out of hours' rota and you will be paid an additional allowance of GBP1,500 per annum for this duty (once participating in the rota) in addition to GBP500 per annum Home Working Allowance. An enhanced disclosure check is required for the Senior Supervising Social Worker role and will be requested for you by TACT.
