A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Business Development Manager.

The company are a logistics firm and the preferable candidate will therefore ideally come from a driving/ logistics background.

The business currently employs around 450 staff over 4 locations and travel will be required. This is a chance to join a firm that is rapidly growing, you can implement ideas and shape your role.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:
  • Generating new business leads and achieving a set target of appointments
  • Managing a sales pipeline of new business
  • Attending meetings with customers and being a brand ambassador for the firm
  • Producing and pitching tender responses and then formally presenting tenders to potential clients
  • Dealing with customer queries with specified SLA's
  • Producing weekly sales reports
  • Providing other departments with sales forecasts
  • Provide annual sales and rolling sales and marketing plans

What would make you a perfect fit for the role?
  • You must have working knowledge of commercial sales within a heavy haulage logistics and distribution
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills both verbally and written
  • A confident presenter
  • Possess a full UK driving licence

The company offer a competitive basic salary with a car allowance and OTE.
