Becoming a Finance Manager with Capita in partnership with Transport for London (TfL):
As the Finance Manager you will play a key role in ensuring effective systems and processes are in place to accurately capture business activities as part of the SFF delivery programme. The Finance Manager is based in Birmingham on an initial 4 months contract.
What you will do:
Full responsibility and accountability for the SFF programme within the CTfL account as the project / workstream lead.
Ensure system data integrity and lead on data migration activities.
Attend SFF meetings and workshops as the CTfL finance lead, providing challenge where required at all stages of the programme.
Experience of programme and operations financial accounting and reporting including timesheet and expense analysis, MI reporting, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow reporting and analysis
Previous experience and proficiency in creation and development of robust financial models, analysis, systems and reporting.
Providing directors and senior management with accurate and timely information and analysis including regular programme plan updates, risks, issues etc.
Your experience will include:
- Strong accounting background (qualified, part qualified or QBE), including experience working in project or contract accounting
- Experience of SAP and Finance transformation and implementation projects, ideally involving SAP S/4 Hana
- Excellent IT skills including strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups, SUM IFS etc).
- Able to understand data in different formats, analyse and present financial information coherently.
- Requires little direction, highly motivated, demonstrates initiative and is proactive in their approach to the business
- Previous experience of working in a complex business environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, work to tight deadlines with no detriment to the high-quality standards expected.

Capita have worked with Transport for London (TfL) since 2014, we manage London's Congestion Charging Zone, Low Emission Zone and Traffic Enforcement Notice Processing activities for our client. From April 2019, we will also oversee the new Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and will be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the systems, as well as all front and back office processes on TfL's behalf. Together, we're helping reduce traffic congestion and improve the service TfL provides its customers by allowing them to reinvest all proceeds back into their services.
