Business Development Manager
City & Capital Headhunters are currently representing a dynamic & progressive lender of specialist property finance who have retained our services in order to appoint a confident, driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to their growing team. Our client is experiencing excellent growth and are expanding their sales team to support increased investment for lending and a strategy to double the size of their UK operation and loan book over the next 12-18 months.
The role will require you to work from a home base, where you will strategically manage your own diary to work closely with key property finance brokers, professionals and introducers in order to identify, engage with and close ideal lending opportunities for short term property finance, to meet the requirements of the lender. You will work within your patch to develop your broker index, whilst maintaining & growing key relationships to achieve lending targets set.
Our client is able to fund a broad range of loan requirements, offering loan values of up to GBP20m per transaction, as well as smaller transactions where required. This broad range of loan values ensures that our client is in primary position to offer the type of funding that many of their competitors cannot. This, coupled with their sleek sanctioning process, delivers key USP's into the market, to include efficiency of service & delivery. This is largely supported by their policy of offering each BDM their own designated Underwriter, forming small but efficient teams to deliver on demands and SLA's.

The ideal individual for this role will have direct experience of working within the property finance market within an origination or relationship management capacity. Due to this you will be connected to the key brokers, property professionals and introducers in your region and will have the ability to hit the ground running in terms of appointments, from day one.
The ideal individual will be a strong hunter & farmer, both confident in maximising existing relationships to drive performance, coupled with a hunger to identify and engage with new profitable introducer relationships that will drive revenue growth.
Due to this the ideal individual will naturally be charismatic, target driven and an excellent communicator. You will be competitive by nature & driven to achieve the best results possible. You will be highly organised and most importantly, ambitious to grow your own career within, in line with the lenders growth plans as outlined.
Our client is willing to pay up to GBP60k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, which will be determined by experience and performance at interview, as you would expect. This will be complemented by an excellent bonus/commission scheme based against your lending target, that could allow you to increase your earnings by 40% per annum.
Travel to the lenders London based HQ will be limited, but at times required. You will hold a valid UK driving license, be happy to work from a home base and will demonstrate the following experience:
- Experience of lending in the specialist property finance market
- Well connected to introducers, brokers and property professionals in your region
- Proficient in identifying the relevant lending opportunities in line with the lenders appetite and loan facilities
- Comfortable presenting at industry events and roundtable functions
- Proven track record of success against sales/revenue/lending targets
