What we're looking for

Yard Supervisor

Rugby, Warwickshire

A key role within our Yard Operation to assist and support the Yard Manager in meeting customer expectations; by providing a comprehensive first class operational service.

Key duties:

Ensuring the Yard operation achieves its KPI's and targeted efficiencies

Ensure the safety and well-being of all staff, customers and visitors

Maintenance and upkeep of all company assets, property and services in conjunction with Yard and Operations Manager

Daily supervision of staff including coaching and training

Working closely with order management, transport and other departments at all times, direct and indirect responsibility for the processing of customer orders

What you'll need


Experience in managing a large team, developing staff and identifying staff training needs

Operational/Logistics experience in a similar type of business ideally Formwork, Scaffolding - desirable

Practical knowledge of Health and Safety

Hands on experience of working within a busy yard environment

Practical knowledge of writing reports and dealing with Health and Safety risk assessments

Personal qualities

People Management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team

Excellent communication and verbal skills

Strong work ethic - reliable and trustworthy

Other criteria

Good knowledge of MS office, Good aptitude for Numeracy & Literacy

Ability to learn and adapt to wide range of products quickly

Health and Safety (IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification)
