Commercial Litigation Solicitor
A highly renowned, award winning firm in Newcastle is looking to recruit a Comercial Litigation Solicitor to join their prestigious Insolvency team. The firm offers a full range of legal services to clients across the private and public sectors as well as bespoke advice to individuals. They pride themselves on client satisfaction and they aim to consistently provide a level of service that will exceed their clients' expectations.
As part of a well-established team you will be responsible for managing a varied case load of contentious and non-contentious work including corporate restructuring, transactional and advisory work and personal and corporate insolvency matters.
Acting for both claimants and defendants, the role involves asset recovery work for insolvency practitioners regarding possession and sale of properties, acting for investors and management on buying businesses and assets from administrators and liquidators, negotiating with clients to reach an agreed outcome, administration of sales, review and report on documents and drafting documents and advice specific to the client's particular needs.
You will be working with a range of businesses and financial institutions, including non-traditional lenders, insolvency practitioners and borrowers. As client relationships are key you will be involved in developing existing and new client business through business development and networking activities.
Our client is looking for someone who is comfortable working in a largely process driven environment, able to drive things forward and take control of their files and the clients in a professional, organised and confident manner. You should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term relationships with colleagues and clients. As you may be required to travel to other offices in Leeds and Manchester flexibility is required.
The successful candidate should be 1-5 years' PQE with commercial litigation experience. This level of experience has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this bracket but are innovative and able to apply commercial solutions to their work.
