Job Title: Senior Digital Marketing Manager

Main Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to manage the operational digital marketing capability, delivering planned traffic volumes to the website. The role will develop the efficiency of the marketing channels and the sophistication of the approach - moving towards a far more customer orientated focus and understanding the role and purpose of digital marketing in a multi-channel journey.

Operational control of the direct response digital marketing channels. These include performance marketing channels; Paid Search and Affiliates as well as SEO and eCRM
Own the digital marketing budget, including testing - spend it like it was your own money
Manage partners and agencies to deliver maximise benefit and efficiency
Build strong working relationships with teams and leaders across the digital and marketing teams, with particular focus on the trading and merchandising function
Develop and execute class-leading strategic and tactical channel roadmaps
Develop and use data and insights to make decisions and underpin hypotheses
Ongoing optimisation of performance metrics, demonstrating impact over time
Drive the customer focused agenda, serving 'real customers, with real issues
Develop the audience strategy across channels to improve relevance and targeting of advertising
Monitor and evaluate competitor approaches, and industry trends to inform digital marketing activity

The Person

Ability to lead a mid-sized team - team management and coaching skills are a must
Ability to prioritise and manage team workload effectively
Capable of managing a broad spectrum of tasks and actions concurrently
Possess strong communication and influencing skills, adaptable across levels
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and requests
Attention to detail
A broad understanding of marketing software, including those that support advertising, bidding, attribution, reporting, optimisation, market performance etc.
Able to use Excel to an advanced standard
Ability to analyse data and make recommendations for change
