Assistant Fleet Branch Manager

To maximise branch & workshop productivity, effectiveness and profitability, to support all branch accounts and to drive profitable FleetCare growth. To ensure all operational & maintenance policies & procedures are adhered to.


·Branch Profit and Loss, including SG&A, NSFE and Revenue

·Manage, coach and support Workshop Foreman to ensure successful management & efficiency of the Workshop

·Drive all Fleetcare opportunities within branch

·Branch CV analysis by customer

·Branch Profit and loss analysis for Fleetcare & PAYGO

·Provide ongoing support, training and development to branch & workshop staff

·Develop and deliver strategies and tactics to achieve business net income

·Maximise branch productivity through development and deployment of key operational measures

·Evaluate branch fleet status and co-ordinate with Asset Management Department to maximise profitable utilization through equipment availability and equipment redeployment

·Ensure branch focus on customer service and revenue generation

·Deliver cost & productivity savings through process improvement

·Support communication efforts through quarterly branch MBO reviews & branch/workshop meetings, team progress reviews and EMS

·Support sales team as necessary to conduct joint sales calls to identify and deliver profitability against customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

·Manage and drive recharge profitability including, trailer re-inspections, dispute negotiation, supplier management and cycle time reductions

·Ensure property issues are handled proactively and are consistent with legal and environmental guidelines

·Accountability for EH&S inspections and lead issue closure rate to ensure 100% are closed within 30 days

·Drive EH&S policies and procedure adherence in branch, workshop & designated MSU's ensuring they are kept clean and tidy & that at all times compliance of the Company's EHS Policy is adhered to.

·Deliver cause and effect analysis for any accidents which may occur and implement preventative measure to ensure no further occurrences

·Accountability for branch delinquency and invoice query reductions

·Implement front office / back office roles and responsibilities

·To ensure work is progressed and maintained through workshops plus all staff are aware of & adhere to the Company's servicing and inspection guidelines.

·Negotiate labour rates & communicate company policy with external vendors

·To encourage good workshop practices & ensure tool registers are maintained and reported monthly

·To drive vendor management to ensure quality and cost is acceptable

·To ensure MSU productivity and continue to drive in-source of maintenance activities (supported by Cost Benefit Analysis)
