Residential Setting - Children & Young People with EBD

£25,514.67 up to £26,034.67 per annum PLUS benefits

This role includes you supporting children and young persons who have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be required to work 5:2 pattern, which is you work 5 shifts on week and 2 the following week, then followed by sleep in's as and when required.

Requirements for the role -
  • Must be 21 years of age or over (client has claimed an exemption under the equality act 2010)
  • Hold a full, valid manual driving licence, with access to their own vehicle
  • Must hold a Level 3 Children & Young people's workforce qualification or equivalent

About the role briefly -
  • To be responsible to the Home Manager as a member of the staff team for the direct day to day care of the children and young people and other support tasks and duties
  • Ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, and therapeutic and health needs.
  • To ensure that the placement plan is regularly reviewed.
  • Allocate a Key Worker for each young person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan.
  • Establish and monitor high quality standards of care in line with the Quality Standards for Children's Homes 2015 and the home's Statement of Purpose. Develop quality assurance measures to ensure these standards are maintained.
  • Maintain monitoring systems in which the young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
  • To work in partnership with parents, carers and other professional to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
  • Attend and contribute to childcare planning and review meetings as appropriate.
  • To adhere to your duty of care and ensure safeguarding/ child protection concerns are reported to your line manager and responded to accordingly.
