A busy automotive company based in Redditch is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support their Maintenance Engineer on a fixed term contract for 3 months.
As Maintenance Technician, you will support the production facility by working as part of a team ensure manufacturing maximises its output.
Key Responsibilities inlcude:
* Support the manufacturing production teams where required.
* Minimise production down time and attend machine failures promptly.
* Improve route cause analysis of breakdowns and equipment failures.
* Input data into Maintenance CMMS system for PM's / breakdowns and planned work.
You will also be expected to contribute to the development of a Reliability Centred Maintenance Strategy and to assist in developing team members.
Day to Day, your general and task management will include:
* Support process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
* Undertake continuous training and development
* Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
* Record all work through CMMS system (PM, CM and EM) including data entry for significant event
* Generate SPL's and SOP's
* 5S control and Audits in workshop and around site.
* Promote and implement own improvement ideas.
* Conduct pm schedules and safety checks as required.
* To ensure that all work carried out is undertaken using safe working practices, whilst ensuring the safety of persons operating on or around the machinery.
We are looking for an individual who will proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere. Someone who is a self-starter and is target driven.
To be considered for the Maintenance Technician role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
* Multi skilled maintenance engineer formally qualified in mechanical and electrical disciplines.
* Fully conversant with pneumatics and hydraulics.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
* Flexible working and approach.
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
* Technical understanding
* Understanding of IATF16949, IOSH, ISO 14001
* ONC / HNC or other recognised qualification.
Hours of work: 36hrs Monday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm Fridays 1pm - 7pm
