Our Client is a leading and award winning principal contractor in the design & build, refurbishment and fit out of commercial & office interiors. Based in the West Midlands they offer a full Design, Build and Management service to a long list of blue chip clients. Due to consistent growth, they are now seeking a talented and creative Junior Project Manager to join their team. This is a key role within the business which ensures the smooth flow of information between the office and all sites.

The company are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, keen, ambitious individual with the willingness to learn and assist the senior members of the team.

Responsibilites will include shadowing Project Managers within business along with the organisation of all plant, materials, labour, sub-contractors, skips etc to ensure that all sites start up and continue running in an efficient manner. Additionally there will be commercial repsonsibilites in assisting with the tendering of projects by calculating take offs from drawings, calculating the material requirements and placing orders etc.

Training will be provided for the successful individual in all areas with the opportunity of progression to a number of roles that include Project Manager or Cost Manager.

The Junior Project Manager Role

You will have good communication skills and be able to report your opinions to the Head of Projects on daily / weekly basis whilst managing multiple fit out projects.

Key Requirements:

Relevant qualifications
Experience of commercial office fit outs and / or refurbishment schemes would be benficial.
Experience of working on interior fit out projects would be advantageous.
The ability to listen, learn and pick up tasks quickly.Candidates will ideally have previously worked within a similar environment to the commercial office interiors sector and have refurbishment experience. Candidates with general main contracting construction experience are also asked to apply.
