Due to continued growth we now seek a Production Engineer to join the growing Dynamic Team

General Responsibilities/Requirements:
. Support the Business Growth in delivering smooth & effective Data and Information to the shop floor
. Achievement of KPI targets for, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Versatility
. Ensures all improvements are geared towards the business strategy of lead-time reduction using QRM principles
. Has extensive knowledge of Modern CAD/CAM software and "Best Practice" Manufacturing methodologies
. Creating production CNC programs & proving out if needed
. Can deal with constraints or secures support/assistance from their peers or the Manufacturing team to help when needed
. Promote high level of housekeeping throughout manufacturing environment and supports the 5S standard
. Ensures processes tools and techniques that are used are constantly developed to ensure the best technology is always used and challenged
. Identify ways to reduce waste at every level, use of SMED techniques
. Work closely with our Design Engineers in order to optimize designs for machining (DFM)
. Supporting production on their daily targets and advise Production Team Leaders & setters to ensure smooth machining processes
. Delivering process documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts & Process docs e.g. tooling Layout etc)
. Specifying designs for fixtures & tooling for in house or subcontract manufacture
. Help train and organize production staff during process hand overs to production
. Co-ordinate projects
. Participates and supports continuous improvement teams and other working groups

Qualifications or Functional Experience:

. Ideally degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years Manufacturing/production Engineering experience, gained within a low to medium volume high quality CNC machining environment.
. Must have extensive knowledge of Turning and Milling processes
. Experience of working with CAD & CAM packages ideally with knowledge of complete implementation
. Good communication skills are also essential
