The Company

An experienced marketing and strategy consultancy business that specialises in retail financial services industry are now looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.

This exciting company established in 2009 and have clients from across the globe that utilise their marketing and strategic expertise to deliver payment products and services.

Role

Help and support the Directors. Successfully manage the commercial performance of the business. Compiling and maintaining all relevant financial information required for producing management reporting and pricing proposals, undertaking cost analysis and resource allocation.

Uses strong administrative skills as well as accounting knowledge and understanding of financial concepts, accounting terminology and accounting systems.

At all times working constructively with and following the direction and judgement of the Directors, whilst being able to work both independently as well as part of a team.

Hours

(Part-time will be considered, minimum 3 days per week)

Responsibilities / Duties

General

* Reconcile invoices and pricing with the actual costs incurred

* Raise invoices to clients, based on services rendered

* Support the production of proposals and SoWs, managing the sign off process with clients and receipt of purchase order

* Establish and maintain cost policies (especially expenses) and procedures

* Review employee expenses against policy and propose sign off to Directors

* Key data into company system

* Maintain records / inventory of company assets and valuation

* Always protect company integrity by keeping financial information confidential at all times.

Management Accounts & Reporting

* Compare and analyse actual costs and expenses against budgets

* Support the budgeting process with appropriate cost analysis and projections

* Maintain spreadsheets that break down costs and expenses (by agreed lines) on a monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly and annual basis.

Qualification, experience and skills

* Relevant degree (or qualification) in accountancy, finance or another related field. Alternatively, experience in a comparable finance role.

* In addition, must be able to demonstrate:

* Excellent communication skills

* Experience with book-keeping practices

* Strong mathematical skills, knowledge of accounting terminology, excel and accounting systems

* Excellent organisation, prioritisation and administrative skills with an understanding of filing systems

* Typing, data entry, attention to detail and accuracy in working

* Analytical skills and an ability to detect inconsistencies
