DEPUTY SERVICE MANAGER - SAINT PAUL'S NURSING HOME, SELLY PARK

37.5 hours per week - GBP39,000.00 per year

SJOG is a national charity with 600 staff working in 33 local communities around the country, providing care and support for people with learning and physical disabilities, people with mental health issues, homeless people and older people. We are looking to recruit a Deputy Service Manager to assist with the management and co-ordination of Saint Paul's Nursing Home in Birmingham, which is home to older persons of a religious congregation. Ensuring that a quality driven and holistic service is provided to the Sisters and that they are provided with support, enabling them to live as independently and dignified a life as possible.

In addition, the role also entails managing and working alongside with a team of Nurses and Care Assistants.

Essential Criteria:
• An ability to demonstrate the core values of the Charity
• Registered Nurse qualification (1st level)
• Working knowledge of CQC standards
• A recognised management qualification NVQ4, or willing to attain
• Supervisory / management experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, Sisters and members of the religious community
• Good organisational skills
• Good organisational / leadership skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, across seven days of the week, including bank holidays. Participation in on call, sleep-ins when required
