Scientific Sales Exec

Location - Tamworth

Basic salary - GBP18,000 - GBP25,000, OTE GBP20,700 - 28, 750 + uncapped bonus

Full time, Permanent, 35hr week

Looking for an In-House Sales Executive to support the Advanced Materials side of or client's business.

As part of the Sales Team, you will be the initial point of contact for their advanced materials customers - you will provide office-based support for their existing Sales Execs as well as taking responsibility for your own product group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet agreed sales growth and gross profit targets
  • Manage your sales targets and pipeline
  • Generate new business sales leads and opportunities
  • Provide a quick and efficient response to customer enquiries for both your own and the other Sales Execs in your team.
  • Maintain and develop current relationships with existing customers and suppliers
  • Work closely with all members of the Sales and Marketing team to ensure a cross flow of information

The ideal candidate will be a degree level scientist who is ambitious and committed to achieving high standards throughout their work.

  • An excellent telephone manner
  • An outgoing personality with strong organisational skills and a tenacious nature
  • Able to build relationships quickly and effectively with colleagues and business associates
  • Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle - business mileage paid

Desirable characteristics and skills

  • A proven track record in B2B sales either face to face or telesales
  • Knowledge and experience of using CRM databases
  • Ability to complete web-based research using, for example, LinkedIn and ResearchGate
  • An additional European language is desirable
