John Ashley are pleased to be representing this National organisation which has enjoyed substantial growth and are now recruiting a HSEQ Coordinator. This is a pivotal role reporting to the Plant Manager you would join the busy production team for a major manufacturing plant. The workload is high but a very interesting and fast pace environment. You will liaise with other departments and provide support to the Burton site for all matters relating to Health, Safety and environment.

  • Accident and Incident Reporting
  • Risk Assessment
  • Auditing


Health & Safety

To support the implementation and maintenance of the company's Health, Safety and Environment management system by:
  • Arranging training on Health & Safety matters;
  • Organising and taking minutes from site Health and Safety Consultancy Committee meetings;
  • Reviewing all Accident and Incident reports, conducting investigations where appropriate and issuing corrective actions to site management;
  • Maintaining COSHH documentation as required;
  • Providing support on Health and Safety matters to site operational teams;
  • Assisting in the implementation of risk assessment software across site;
  • Conducting and/ or supporting Operational Management to complete risk assessments and identified corrective actions;
  • Completing routine Health and Safety Audits and providing support to Management to implement corrective actions;
  • Reviewing Contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements, providing feedback where necessary;
  • Providing a high service level to all internal and external customers;
  • Setting high Health and Safety standards, by leading by example and challenging non-compliances.
Environmental & Quality Management Systems
  • Conducting internal audits at regular intervals and addressing any non-compliance issues that arise promptly and thoroughly, liaising with other managers within the business to resolve these matters, maintaining records as necessary;

  • To co-ordinate on-site training for all matters relating to safety, health, environment and quality (in conjunction with the Plant Manager and site teams, where appropriate) to ensure that our employees, agency workers and contractors are suitably trained to carry out their prescribed tasks in an effective and safe manner;
  • To maintain comprehensive training records and support the operational team;
  • To support induction training as and when needed.
