My Client is looking for a Clinical Manager/ Senior Care Service Manager within the Birmingham area. The client has grown steadily over the past 10 years and is one of the UK's Leading specialist in Clinical service Providers.
Job Purpose
*Responsible for Setting up and supervising care packages for clients assigned to them.
*Ensuring Continuity of Care for clients through Supervision and delivery of the service within their own home in line with Care Quality Commission, Company policy and Legislative requirements.
Job Responsibilities
*Under the Supervision of the Regional Clinical Manager
*Complete and review Client Needs and Risk Assessments in line with CQC Guidance
*Develop, review and implement service user personal care plans in line with CQC Guidance
*Manage Client Care packages, monitor client care and well being
*Working with the Training team, Support the training, development and supervision of personal care assistant, by working alongside them on assignment and assisting with competency-based training
*Work with recruitment team to assist in the interviewing of Personal care assistants as required
*Take part in Scheduling of Pas in Live out care packages as required
*Care service Managers are responsible for the service our clients receive and must work with the wider teams with the organisation to ensure continuity of our service, Client and Customer satisfaction and resolve issues that arise.
*Care Service Managers will manage and support the personal Assistants where applicable
*Provide Supervision of Pas in line with Care Standard officers
*Deliver and Manage competency-based training of Pas in their work place, ensuring that the all clinical competencies are upto date
*Liaise with social services and attend case conferences/MDT Meeting as required
*Support director of quality and governance in the development of new care packages to ensure that the company's financial objectives are achieved
*Attend and contribute to regional staff meetings as required
*Inform the RCM and HR Manager of any issues that are likely to adversely impact quality of client care and/ or health and safety of employees
*Tasks and Projects as determined by director of Quality and Governance and RCM within the Scope of the role
*Oversee Junior Care Service Managers and Team Leaders including the Supervision as required
*Work in line with company policies and Procedures
*Work in line with GDPR and Confidentiality policies
*Work on Shifts in own Care Packages to prevent the services Failures
*On Call out of hours on a rota basis
Qualification for Position
Essential:
*Registered General Nurse, Registered sick Children's Nurse, Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupation Therapist or Physiotherapist
*Newly Qualified Professional at NHS equivalent Band 5 Nurse
*Independent, Self- motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision
*Willing to Travel in order to manage case load effectively
*Willing to travel to attend meetings and assist with Training and Scheduling as required
*Willing to travel to Head office as required to maintain colleague relationships with occasional overnight stays
*Access to a car for work purposes with Full UK Driving Licence
*Ability to work as part of a team
*Excellent communication Skills both Written and Verbal
Preferred:
*Previous experience in spinal cord Injury, acquired brain injury or long term Neurological Conditions, ideally in a community setting.
*Training Qualification i.e Teaching & assessing award, mentorship award and moving and handling trainer and or assessor, nursing patients with spinal cord lesion award or other relevant additional qualification or willing ness to undertake required qualification
*Computer Literate
*Ideally will have experience of dealing with Multi-disciplinary teams
Hours of work and Benefits:
*37.50 contracted hours per week, occasional shift cover may be required for own care packages
