Site Electrician - Newcastle-under-Lyme

Salary up to 45k

Working Days Monday to Friday

Experienced Electrical Engineer with over 4 year's experience of working in a manufacturing/commercial setting, Hold a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent and current (3rd amendment) IEE 17th Edition qualification and 3 phase electrical experience. You will carry out various electrical maintenance and repair activities together with taking the lead in developing PPM ensuring that all plant and equipment satisfy law and legislation, HS&E, Procedures and business requirements.

Key Deliverables:

* Carry out various electrical maintenance and repair activities including PPM, PCM, CM and Safety Checks;

* Maintain plant and equipment to satisfy law and legislation, HS&E, Group Procedures and business requirements;

* Maintain and improve the efficient operation of the production/process machinery, systems and ancillary equipment on site, working as an active part of a multi-skilled department;

* Ensure fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions;

* Continuous development of knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the production systems and machinery;

* Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict time schedules and carry out required installation work from time to time;

* Ensure minimal unscheduled downtime through immediate response and rectification of problems with prioritisation to key areas;

* Continuous improvement of equipment, improving safety, efficiency, changeovers and minimising downtime.

Qualifications and Experience

* 4 year's experience working in a manufacturing/commercial setting.

* Hold a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent.

* Current (3rd amendment) IEE 17th Edition qualification and 3 phase electrical experience.

* Able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of electrical test/inspection equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

* Current working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures is essential.

* Working knowledge of, and the ability to interrogate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is desirable.

* Possess a professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.

* Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a wider team
