Employment Law Solicitor

We are recruiting for an Employment Law Solicitor in the Birmingham area with our well established client.

As an Employment Law Solicitor you will need to have:

5 years post qualified experience in employment law
Dealt with both contentious and non-contentious matters
Previously represented both employees and employers
Working knowledge of the law on restrictive covenants
Appeared at the Employment Tribunal, at least on preliminary matters
Previously prepared ET1, ET3, particulars of claim and grounds of resistance
Full UK driving licence and willing to use your own vehicle for business purposes (mileage paid for)
Excellent communication skills
Working knowledge of computer-based client management systems such as leap (desirable)
Confident to manage relationships at senior level
Ability to communicate complex issues and concepts to non-lawyersDetails:

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
Location: Based at Birmingham office with the possibility of working from home and flexible hours
Duration: PermanentRole of an Employment Law Solicitor:

Provide employment law services to our clients
Prepare contracts of employment
Advise on settlement agreements
Prepare staff handbooks
Liaising with clients, the Principal Solicitor and Barristers
Help clients deal with unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, redundancy issues, whistle blowing claims, TUPE issues
