What it's like to work here

Nestled on the edge of the Shugborough Estate are Litchfield Lodge's, these are newly-converted neo-classical gatehouse turned holiday cottage.

Staffordshire paradise's: a rich blend of landscape, monuments, gardens and architecture, shaped by travel and adventure. Home to the Anson family since 1624, it was once described as 'a perfect paradise'. Georgian mansion, weeping parkland, ancient woodland and a landscape peppered with monuments. Selection of seasonal blooms in the formal gardens, or produce in the walled garden.

What you'll be doing

You will be assisting the Holidays Operation Manager and team by providing excellent customer service and ensure that a high standard of housekeeping and presentation standards are achieved at all times. Part of your role will be vital in helping to recruit, train and coach new staff, along with supporting our existing Holidays Operation Assistants (cleaners).

You will keep an eye on stock levels in the stores, and manage any equipment shortages or maintenance problems that need addressing. You will be proactive in reporting changes in the cottages and on site regarding accessibility and also be responsible for completing risk and compliance checks in order to make sure all locations are safe for both staff and guests.

We would like you to forge relationships with staff from other departments within your property portfolios to help engage and promote the holidays offer and build good working practices. This will involve liaising regularly with Visitor Reception teams and occasionally involve attending relevant property meetings.

Who we're looking for

To be successful in this role youshould be able to demonstrate the following:

  • IT literate (i.e. beable to use Microsoft packages)
  • Have previous leadershipexperience
  • Be able to communicatewith staff and guests in a professional manner
  • Have an understanding ofHealth & Safety at work and COSHH
  • Be proactive andpractical
  • Have good customerservice awareness
  • Work as a team and onown working to deadline
