This is your opportunity to join one of the oldest, best known and respected OEM manufacturers of bespoke service equipment for the commercial vehicle market which was established pre 1900.

A recent change in senior management has resulted in a dynamic and friendly focused company with it's head quarters and manufacturing facility based in the West Midlands. This opportunity has arisen due to increased sales and has resulted in a requirement for an additional Field Service Engineer to provide installation and routine maintenance of the equipment sold.

Key Accountabilities

* To conduct route cause analysis investigations and rectification on faulty, warn or damaged equipment when attending breakdowns or service-related jobs.

* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on company and customer equipment,

* Develop and implement creative ideas to reduce technical failures.

* To carry out the installation, routine maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs on machinery & water reclaim systems.

* Provide weekend cover and be on standby as required.

* Provide technical support to Sales on machine selection, performance and capability, both by phone and on-site customer facing meetings.

* Ensure that all equipment allocation and stock control is in accordance with the control requirements.

* Communicate any additional requirements to Service so they can obtain quotations.

* To communicate positively and effectively at all times

* Ensure effective capacity planning is being met.

* Work with colleagues and service departments to help develop better products and improve installation efficiency.

* Ensure all company documentation is completed accurately and on time.

* Ensure that all company policies and procedures relevant to your role are adhered to.

Technical Competencies

* Expected to be competent in both machines fitting work, plumbing and electrical work. Training will be given as and when required to ensure you are conversant with any type of machines.

* The job requires a level of understanding of Health & Safety along with both mechanical, basic electrical knowledge and the 18th Edition.

* A general understanding of Mechanics, Electrics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics is essential.

* Familiarity of working with electric motors, drive shafts, pumps, gear boxes and PLC's/PCB's



* As part of the role, you may be required to spend nights away from home when installing/repairing machines.

* Motivated, personable and experience of dealing face to face with customer technical departments
