Highbridge Resourcing are recruiting for a diligent, passionate and reliable Deputy Manager who has experience of working with adults with mental health.
Our client is a large independent mental health charity that provides services for adults with mental health in the Birmingham area. The deputy manager role will involve supporting the Registered Manager to run and manage a 10 bed home based in South West Birmingham. The home provides short term rehabilitation for up to 18 months and is rated GOOD by CQC.
This is a full-time permanent role, 37.5 hours a week. There is shift work involved and you will be required to participate in the on-call duties. As the deputy manager you will need to be prepared to undertake sleep-ins as and when required, although you will not be included in the sleep-in rota.
As a Deputy Manager your main responsibilities are;
* To support the Registered Manager in undertaking the operation and day-to-day running of the registered home
* To ensure that the adults placed at the home are safe and receive a high standard of care and support
* To ensure that the home complies with regulatory and legal requirements and that the home complies with Company Policies and Procedures.
* Ensuring the service works in partnership with other health and social care agencies.
* Managing, developing and supervising a staff team.
* To support the home manager with staff rotas, absence and annual leave.
* To participate in the on-call system
* To undertake sleep in duties if required (although you will not be on the sleep-in rota)
* To support with managing budgets/finances
The ideal candidate will have:
* Diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care
* Worked for at least 3 years in the residential care provision for mental health
* At least 6 months supervisory experience
* In depth understanding of regulatory requirements for services registered under CQC.
* Experience of coordinating a staff team and leading from the front
* Good IT skills, including accurate completion of audits and reports.
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
* Excellent time management skills
The salary is GBP23,900 plus sleep in allowance and on-call duties
