A unique Geo-Environmental Consultant opportunity has come available in the Birmingham area for an award-winning SME multi-disciplinary consultancy that specialise in Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering.

You will have the opportunity to sit directly under the Senior Consultant within a well-established team to help deliver major contaminated land / remediation projects on a technical, commercial and financial basis.

The Geo-Environmental Consultant position would comprise drafting and checking reports (desk study, ground investigation, land contamination assessments, remediation strategies, earthworks specifications, land quality statements and validation reports). You would be supported to manage certain redevelopment projects. Occasionally you might be required to visit site as the clients engineer to monitor the contractor's work or attend progress meetings. They support the staff to join a professional organisation pursuant to becoming a chartered professional. The annual subscription is paid for by the company.

They will also be happy to develop your skills (risk assessment, remedial, geotechnical etc) consistent with the work they undertake and would support you to attend training courses to meet this development goal. They would pay for your training and the additional subscription required for the relevant professional body (ie SOBRA) to allow you to practice and maintain these skills whilst working. Geo-Environmental Consultant Specification:
* Degree in Geology or Environmental Science whilst having obtained an MSc in contamination, environmental/biochemistry.
* At least 2 years contaminated land & remediation experience within a Geo-Environmental Consultancy
* Rounded experience designing, managing and delivering ground investigations
* Strong technical reporting on an interpretive basis along with risk assessment (Especially coal mining)
* UK Driving licence
