Teacher of Cantonese & Mandarin Chinese
TEACHER OF CANTONESE & MANDARIN CHINESE
Concord College is England’s premier co-educational boarding school set in the heart of the Shropshire countryside with 600 students aged 13-19. Historic buildings sit alongside our state-of-the-art facilities which include areas providing extra-curricular activities, sport and recreation. We are truly international with upwards of 40 nationalities represented, which creates a wonderfully diverse community.
Academic achievement at Concord College is exceptional.
In 2019, students achieved 85% 7-9 (A*/A) at GCSE and 84% A*/A at A level. We are also delighted that over 120 students have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge over the last six years.
We wish to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese to both A-level and GCSE, principally to native speakers, but also to others with near-native fluency. Preparing the students for all aspects of A-level and GCSE examinations will be required and the post holder will also be required to act as teacher-examiner on conducting all speaking examinations. Consideration will be given to applicants who can work remotely/off campus, however there would be a need to carry out some duties at the college premises, for example examining.
The closing date for applications is midday Wednesday 30 October 2019.
