Planner Specification
To manage and maintain the daily planning functions of the business as part of the supply chain department. Incorporating the following key activities:

* Responsibility of Department 1
o Generation of weekly plan
o Chair weekly planning meeting and generate plan in line with customer requirements & company financial targets
o Create PPC chart (plan Vs schedule Vs actual :- Parts/Value/ESH) & monitor adherence

* Responsibility for Department 2
o Creation of plans (R5 & R6) ensuring optimum loading of lines in line with pull requirements
o Monitoring of adherence to utilisation

* Responsibility For Department 3
o Generation of weekly plan
o Chair weekly planning meeting & generate plan in line with customer requirements, company financial targets & optimum use of cycles
o Create PPC chart (Plan Vs Schedule Vs Actual) & monitor adherence

* Responsibility For Department 4
o Generation of weekly set plan
o Create PPC chart (Plan Vs Schedule Vs Actual) & monitor adherence

* Ownership of Contract Review Scheduling Activity
o Agreement of current lead times with scheduling manager based upon capacity availability / requirements
o Schedule of customer purchase orders within the Aventa System

* Management of 'jobs on hold'
o Liaise with Engineering & Quality Department & report on any planning restrictions (customer / financial impact)

* Review & Update of Planning System with most up-to-date information
o Working with quotation function to ensure system times / values are consistent

* Functional Relationships
o Reporting directly to Scheduling Manager

o Supply Chain Manager
o Sub-Contract Coordinator
o Quality Manager
o Engineering / NPI

* Key Skills
o Excellent IT Skills (Excel - intermediate / MRP - Aventa - training available)
o Ability to work independently in a pressurised environment
o Ability to work to fixed deadlines
o Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the workforce (Company Chairman to Shop Floor Operatives)
o Understanding of business drivers
