Do you have experience working as an Environmental Engineer? Would you like to provide your expertise to one of the most luxury Automotive brands? We have a permanent position available for a Senior Environmental Engineer!


Oversee all environmental aspects companywide. Liaising with the Facilities Director and Senior Manager at Gaydon to ensure companywide Environmental legislative requirements are met. Preparation for annual audits maintaining corporate certification to ISO14001:2015, sustaining & improving the standard on certified sites and preparing additional site certification aligned to company expansion & growth.

Collate data, as required, to satisfy company Environmental commitments & obligations in connection with CSR, GHG and relevant company business reports, ensuring company and legal compliance.

  • Manage, control and maintain ISO14001:2015 environmental certification across all sites, managing external audit schedules and requirements, this will include coordinating and communicating legislation and compliance issues to all area Directors and Senior Managers on all sites.
  • Maintain the company energy management strategy, reporting usage and cost data from all sites and departments in the form of an energy brochure on a monthly basis. This includes legal requirements such as SECR (CRC) reporting and ESOS and GHG compliance.
  • Controlling waste management requirements across all sites reporting waste data on monthly basis, including management of the Total Waste Management contractor used by the business.
  • Assisting in the control and management of the Environmental annual budget.
  • Maintaining the sites environmental legal register along with all Council and Local authority permits (Petroleum license, Paint shop permits etc.) controlling site visits and relevant monitoring required to maintain compliance with licenses and permits.
  • Develop & implement Environmental improvement initiatives company wide.

  • Applicants should preferably have a relevant Environmentally focused degree or equivalent qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge & working experience of the environmental standard ISO14001:2015
  • Experience in energy, waste management and sustainability workings and best practice.
  • Experience in managing compliance of council licenses and permits.
  • Appropriate understanding of environmental legislation.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to compile clear, concise and accurate reports.
  • Applicants should have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
