A newly developed role of Project Engineer is available at this established family owned business in Leamington Spa. You will have responsibility for the engineering aspects of delivery for new projects from concept to production meeting the standards our customers have come to expect from our product.

This is an ideal opportunity for a project engineer or an experienced design engineer looking to move up into a more challenging, leader role.


Reporting to the Principle Engineer you will lead project delivery and engineering resources, while monitoring compliance with project objectives. You will take ownership of the projects you lead.
You will be able to convey complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to create and deliver project information for reviews and product development board meetings.
You will be able to make technical and project decisions in coordination with the engineering manager/principle engineer, and both question and evaluate any decisions relating to the project.Requirements

Existing design experience.
An engineering degree (BEng or MEng).
Previous 3D CAD Design experience (preferably NX, but training given if required) together with Finite Element Analysis.
You will have good communications skills, be able to work individually as well as part of a multidisciplinary team of design, development, electrical, and production engineers.
Ability to meet tight deadlines, applying a pragmatic approach when necessary. With the addition of proven planning skills, you will be able to bring all these elements together to achieve the success of your projects.
Deliver all product data for the project is created by yourself and the team including 3D models, detail drawings, technical files, product specification, and technical publications. You would also be responsible for the product data being delivered into our MRP system via the ISO 9001 accredited change control process.
Ability to interpret standards related to off highway mobile machinery and apply them to machines.
Ability to lead design and development projects, working to a budget and timing plan.
Actively promotes cost reduction and quality improvement activities.
Awareness of cost implications for full component life cycle.
Capable of presenting to groups of people, both formally and informally.
You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and positive. You will have excellent technical understanding, organisation, and communication skills.Fully supportive of professional development such as IMeche, IET.
