Field Applications Specialist covering the Midlands region supporting the company's Clinical Microbiology instrumentation used in NHS and private clinical laboratories!
Great opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist with experience working in a Clinical Microbiology/Virology/Molecular Laboratory, looking to use their knowledge in a customer-focused technical support role involving pre-sales demonstrations, instrument installations, post-sales training and troubleshooting.

CUSTOMERS: NHS and private Clinical Laboratories
The position involves travel to customer sites across the region around 4-5 days per week.
You would work as part of wider team of applications specialists, working closely with the sales team..
Assist the Sales team with pre sales technical activities such as on-site product presentations and demonstrations.
Provide technical support for the installation, implementation and maintenance of systems at customer sites.
Provide customer training on-site and at the company's HQ.
Provide technical direction and support to customers on instrument operation, assay development and maintenance of company products.
Assist in evaluation and validation of assays.
Attendance at industry exhibitions and networking events.
Assist and mange integration of instruments into customer laboratories and provide support to customers during the evaluation and validation process.
Degree qualification in relevant life science subject
Ideally 3 years relevant post-degree practical laboratory experience within the clinical field of microbiology or molecular biology - for example, working as a Biomedical Scientist in an NHS laboratory or scientist within a clinical laboratory
Excellent communicator, able to build relationships with customers and maintain excellent working relationships.
Ability to travel to customer sites across the region.
