Our Purchase Ledger team at IDS Stoke on Trent are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Purchase Ledger Assistant who can really make a difference. Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you'll support the smooth running of the department by maintaining business controls whilst assisting with administrative duties as directed.

N.B. This is a temporary, full-time role with IDS working on a 9 month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant with IDS, you will:
  • Monitor the Purchase Ledger Inbox on a daily basis, liaising with Suppliers and branches to resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Scan and archive all stock and non-stock invoices for coding and processing.
  • Raise Purchase Orders and generate Goods Received Notes as required.
  • Prepare documentation to assist with payments.
  • Open and distribute company post, alongside ad hoc Administrative duties as directed.

  • Have previous Purchase Ledger experience - minimum of 1 year.
  • Can demonstrate good Numerical and Excel skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Are personable and willing to be part of a friendly team
  • Have the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative.
  • Are able to organize and prioritise your own workload - essential
