SAW OPERATOR / GENERAL HAND - UNITECH WASHING SYSTEMS LTD - VACANCY - RAF- 20 58/MO Are you now looking for a new opportunity? The Company are the manufacturers of high washing equipment and conveyors for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries Interested in finding out more? If you feel that you have the skills and experience as outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you. Role Overview: Reporting d irectly to the Operations Director . T his role is responsible for operating the horizontal Band Saw assisting the manufacturing operation of bespoke products including Stainless Steel and other metals, ranging from counters, fabrications and displays . You will be required to cut and measure sheet metal to the correct size in line with business needs and requirements. Other duties involved in this role are as follows: Main duties will include: Read and interpret engineering drawings. Carry out necessary checks and quality assurance of products as per specifications Use hand and pneumatic tools to carry out daily tasks. Assist with any product finishing duties including polishing, drilling and sawing. Assist with any pre-despatch inspections to check for quality issues Assist with any pre-despatch packing including completion of any necessary paperwork. Ensure all equipment used is safe, clean and is in good working order, reporting any faults to your Line Manager. Carry out general labouring duties which may include removing laser film and other packaging materials, deburring and finishing. Ensure areas are kept clean and tidy and Health and Safety procedures and policies are adhered to at all times . Any other duties as required and within the skill set of this role. Skills & Experience Required; Experience of working on a shop floor environment. Possess a basic working knowledge of using guillotine machines is a distinct advantage but not essential as full training will be given. Have the ability to multi-task and be flexible. Be able to use your own initiative to solve problems. Possess a 'can do' attitude, with the ability to pay attention to detail in all tasks required. Possession of a fork lift licence is a distinct advantage. What we offer in return: Salary is negotiable dependant on skills and experience. Full time, permanent contract.
